    Description

THESE BLADES WERE MADE BY BUCK KNIVES ON CONTRACT TO PHROBIS FOR THE MILITARY'S MODEL 9010 M. F. K. (MODULAR, ALL-PURPOSE, FIELD KNIFE) USED IN OPERATION DESERT STORM IN 1991.
THESE BLADES HAVE BEEN TEMPERED, AND HAVE THE ORIGINAL AGGRESSIVE SAW-TOOTH TOP, SHARPENED FALSE EDGE, AND WIDE BLOOD GROOVE.  THE KNIFE HAS A STANDARD THREAD AS SHOWN.  THE BLADE CAN BE ATTACHED TO A SECTION OF "ALL-THREAD" WITH A 3/8 INCH COUPLER.  (SEE PHOTOS)
THE KNIFE CAN BE COMPLETELY CUSTOMIZED BY ADDING A  HANDLE MADE FROM STAG, MICARTA,  WOOD, OR PLASTIC.  THE POMMEL AND GUARD CAN BE. MADE FROM A SECTION OF BRASS.   AN ACORN NUT HOLDS EVERYTHING TOGETHER.
WHY GO THROUGH THE TROUBLE, EXPENSE, AND TIME OF PURCHASING STEEL, HAVING IT PROFILED, GROUND, HARDENED, AND TEMPERED WHEN YOU CAN SPEND YOUR TIME CUSTOMIZING THESE BLADES WITH CUSTOM GUARD AND HANDLE.
THESE BLADES ARE STERILE,  HAVING NO STAMPINGS, JUST LIKE THE ORIGINALS IN OPERATION DESERT STORM.  OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY, MAKE ONE FOR YOURSELF, AND ONE FOR A TRUSTED FRIEND
    .
THIS AUCTION IS FOR TWO (2) IDENTICAL BLADES.
A WELL KNOWN  BOULDER CUSTOM KNIFE MAKER USED ONE OF THESE BLADES AND ELK STAG TO MAKE AN AWESOME HUNTING KNIFE.  (THIS KNIFE IS NOT FOR SALE,  FOR ILLUSTRATION ONLY
